Yoke Fong…….

I went to get the Sunday church bulletins printed at my usual printing shop. Only to be told by the assistant that the machines were not working. I said to the Lord that this is urgent and we needed them for the evening worship.

I then said to the assistant, “you must do something, there are no other shops around and I need them.” She replied, “aunty I am sorry I can’t do anything”

I said, I will ask my God to help and I laid my hand on the photocopier and prayed that it would work. I left the papers to be copied there and said I will be back after some shopping.

When I came back the shop assistant was so excited and told me, ”it worked, it worked” I was at first surprised but the was please and said, “I told you my God can work miracles”

Let us pray that this young lady will ask me the next time, “who my God is?”

Jaccob Thomas……..

I had taught a class on the Book of Micah last Sunday in church. In that study Micah challenges us to help others.

When I got home from church with my mother, I found a Chinese lady standing by my gate. She was unattractive and was not properly dressed. I drove into the drive- way and closed the gates. But I noticed she was still standing there. Against the pleas of my mother not to go, I approach this lady and asked her why she was standing there. She said she had not money pulling out her pockets to show that they were empty. Knowing that there was a likely possibility that she was con man, I however, took some money from my wallet and give it to her, saying, “Here’s enough money to buy yourself lunch” She took the money and departed.

I then realized that the Lord was wanting me to practice what I taught in Bible Class to help those in need. Yes we may be tricked into giving away our money, but that one person could be an angel in disguise. We must help those in need.
