Senior Pastor and men praying
Uncle Pereira, one of the two of our senior member, celebrated his birthday on 27th october 2009. We are not disclosing his age but if you want to find out then the only way is for you to come to Peace Community Church to meet him.
For a man of his age he is in “great shape” and will not miss worship on a Sunday. The greatest gift a pastor can ask for is his ears. Many times you will find him and senior Pastor down by the cafe talking over a cup of “teh tarik”. This is wisdom time.
Uncle, we wish you a happy and blessed Birthday.

We at Peace Community Church express our deepest sympathies to Peggy on the lost of her husband, our dear brother and friend David.
Senior Pastor Fred David officiated at the funeral and cremation service. He preached on Job 19:25-27, echoing the words of Job, “I know my Redeemer lives”.
No doubt our physical bodies would either be buried or cremated, it tells of the reality that our earthly bodies will not be permanent. What we must look forward to, is the life in the resurrected body in the presence of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. For it is then that we will know that we will continue to exist, we will be clothed with a new body and then we will see our Creator and Maker face to face. This will be the climax of all the yearnings that we have on earth.
David Palan you were prepared for this day . We will see you again on Resurrection Day.

One of the exciting things that is happening at Peace Community Church is that, new friends keep coming each week. Last Sunday 2 more new friends came to church. I want to congratulate and encourage those who are inviting friends to Peace Community to keep doing this. We have a target of 100 members by the end of this year.
But the greatest challenge for the leadership and members is to create an environment that will keep these visitors in church. Ps. Fred began a new preaching series on “Ministering in Love and Care”. He spoke on “Sharing God’s Love- Acts of Kindness” and used Matthew 10:40-42 as the basis of his text. We are challenged here to share a “cup of water” with others. These are simple acts and we believe that we all can do at least this.
But the sharing of the “cup” is much more than the eye can see. It is the sharing of oneself with others. THE IS THE LOVE OF GOD IN US.
How do we keep people in our church – SHOW THEM THE LOVE OF GOD THROUGH EACH ONE OF US. We are called to serve and not to be served. I pray that our church will be a “servant church”. Keeping inviting your non believing friends to church.

Our visitation team was able to visit 3 homes on Friday 18 September. Despite the heavy rains we were able to find the homes. 2 in USJ and the other in Subang Jaya.
At the first home we were met by another family who are keen on visiting PeaceCom. We praise God that we were able to pray for Mrs. Lee, the lady of the house who was sick. We discovered that she and her husband also lived for a time in Sabah and we had a few common friends.
We were also able to celebrate Holy Communion in the home of Mr. Robert Murthy who we have been praying for. Mr. Robert is the father of Sharon and Jason who often worship with us when they are in town. Mr. Robert looks very much better than our last visit to him. However we continue to pray for God to strengthen his leg muscles so that he can stand and walk steadily.
We then paid a visit to Yen Yen who is the wife of brother Thomas Kong who we know well. She had just come back from a “small” operation on the leg.
We praise God for the privilege of visiting these friends and sharing God’s peace with them.
Our next visitation is on Friday 25 September. If you are interested to be part of the team please let Anne know. He mobile number is 016-2303285

Our Sunday speaker was bro. Jaccob Thomas. He continue to speak on the series on the Word of God. Jaccob talked about the 3 ways in which the Word can be revived in ourselves.
1. Personally making the Word Alive
2. Making sure that the Word stays in our hearts
3. Seeing that the word is communicated.
He concluded by saying that the revival of the word will lead us to conviction to repentance and then to a rededication.
Thank you Jaccob for reminding us oof the basics of our Christian lives.

It has become urgent that Peace Community Church moves into her own premises. The ministry is growing and attendance is encouraging. New people keep coming to Peace Community each week.
A number of options are being explored. The best one is to approach the Management and Trustees of the property where we are in now to lease a portion of their “huge and unused” car park say for 5 years with the option of another 5. On this we could erect a semi-permanent building that could serve as a our church and a multi-purpose building in the future. The idea is that when we finally move out we would hand this building over to the management. We would of course pay a rental for the land we use.
Please pray as our leaders approach the management to talk this through. We believe that this is where the Lord wants us for the moment. Please pray for the Lord’s work in this area.

Lee Wah with husband Yong Kuan
The Speaker for Sunday worship was our very own Sister Kok Lee Wah. Lee Wah is a financial planner by profession but has the desire of setting up a foundation to help single mothers.
Lee Wah spoke on 3 areas:
1. Our Perspectives of God
2. Our Operation Systems
3. Our Application of God’s Word.
She ably challenged all present to keep their perspective of God always in the affirmative. Thus Positive thoughts would lead to positive feelings, leading on to positive actions and ending in positive results. Thus the call to be renewed with the mind of Christ and to be always cautious of our “roots”.
She left us with a game played with partners and looking at 5 areas where God’s Word will be applied in our daily lives
We praise God for His Word to us.
