We start the year here at Peace Community Church with a new preaching series on “Revival” This is in preparing the whole church for the Revival God is bringing to this Church. One member remarked, ” The revival has already started with the spiritual warfare we are getting into.” For this series, both the morning and evening preachings will be the same. All must be aware. All must be prepared.

True to the teachings of the Bible to honour our fathers and mothers, the younger leaders and youth of Peace Community Church were moved to do just that. On January 8 at the evening worship they spoke of the contributions made by these leaders and the example they have given. Knowing our youths, they had the ability to translate the hard work, chores and the little things these leaders had done to make what Peace Com is today with great laughter but with respect and rejoicing. It is so encouraging to see our young leaders and youth giving honour to their elders.
Senior pastor Fred in being asked to say a few words said, “We the seniors know, that the Church will be in good hands in the days to come. God Bless you our Young Leaders. You have set the future direction and leadership of the church in motion.”

Sisters 2 with Niki & Ps. Fred
In the Early Church we see households coming to the Lord. This would also mean that they went through water baptism which was already in practice in the Church. When 2 sisters decided to be baptised (with their parents consent,) the excitement was like that of the early Church. Samantha and Rebecca Khoo were baptised on Peace Community’s Family Day on 2nd January in the presence of their parents, grandmother and friends. Sam and Rebecca also brought along their school friend Niki to witness the occasion. Remember Andrew telling to his brother, “Come and See” This friendship evangelism.

Gan & Caris began coming to Peace Community when we moved to the present premises at “The Link” It was a joy when Jing You was born to this couple. When Caris was well enough to come to church. they brought Jing You to worship. It has been a joy to see Jing You grow to love the “uncles” and “aunts” in church. These days he is in the front dancing and moving to the beat of the worship team.
Gan and Caris decided that they wanted Jing You to be baptised together with his mother on 2nd January. What a testimony to the Lord.

On 2nd January 2012 at Peace Community Church’s “Family Day” 7 adults made their Public Confession of accepting Christ as their Lord and Saviour. In the presence of the church family and friends, the following adults were baptised: Yong, Grace Josephine, Charis, Shashi, Samantha and Rebecca.
We are thankful to Johnny & Mabal Ng who opened their home and pool for the event in Kajang Country Heights. They also hosted the fellowship meal after the Baptism. We were privileged to have our Bishop and his wife also with us.
The Church family at this family gathering also celebrated Senior Pastor’s 65 Birthday.
The Crib
We are ever so grateful for the gift of a “Crib” to Peace Community Church. It took center stage as the traditional service of blessing was held on Christmas Eve. The Children played a major role in the worship as they lit the Christ candle. The “Crib” will from now be a feature of our Christmas Celebrations.
Peace Community Church thanks this dear family for this wonderful gift at Christmas.
2012 is going to be a little different for Peace Community Church. A comprehensive Christian Education programme is planned so as to get into gear for what the Lord is going to do in our midst.
The purpose of this is that we should be growing into the likeness of Christ and living like His disciples in a world that is becoming more challenging for all. In times of crisis only knowing and applying the truth that comes from the Word of God will make us overcomers and ride the waves of the coming “revival”
It is my hope that many of you will attend some of the courses and seminars we have put together. I am confident that this will help you grow in maturity and service for the Lord with a renewed passion.
Today will also be our very first Watch night Service. We are looking to welcoming many new members and friends. Our Senior Pastor will be preaching from Psalm 100 with the theme ” Faithfulness Throughout Generations” Below is His message to our church.

God’s Faithfulness
2011 marks some firsts for Peace Community Church. Today as we gather for our very first “Watch Night Service” We praise God that we are able to share in this corporate act of worship. The “Watch Night Service” finds its origins in John Wesley who in 1740 had this service as an alternative to the “drunken revelry” of his day. In the African- American Community it is said that the black Christians gathered on December 31 1862 to wait the “Emancipation Proclamation” by Abraham Lincoln on New Year’s Day 1863. So like the generations before us, tonight we await the dawn of another year – 2012. Many believe this to be the ” year of jubilee”
Paul writing to the Galatians Christians (Gal 4:4-7) reminded them that they were no longer slaves but free man. God had sent his son to redeem those under the law. In redemption we are then given the rights of full son ship. And become heirs of the kingdom.
Our theme for 2012 is “Released for Revival” It is going to be a year of seeing God’s power manifested in our church and in the lives of all members. I see God working in the following areas:
1. Families in Worship: I am appealing to all this year, to bring our families together here at Peace Community Church for worship. I am praying that fathers would turn the hearts of their children and grandchildren to the Lord.
2. Fasting & Prayer: We are reaping the fruits of our obedience to God’s call to pray and fast. The 3 Fridays of fasting last year, has set in motion a spiritual wave that no one can change its course. We must continue to keep on course.
3. Finding To Reclaim: We at Peace Community must bring back the many who have gone away from the Lord. This is authority that the Lord has put in our hands. We must make our church the most welcoming church in the Klang valley. Therefore, we are here not for personal gain but for kingdom investment.
So to all at Peace Community Church, let us look with great excitement, courage and expectation to what the Lord will do for us in 2012. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
